The inaugural Shaky Boots Music Festival is coming to Kennesaw on May 16 and 17, 2015. The event features today’s top country stars and takes place at Kennesaw State University’s Sports and Entertainment Park. Performing at the festival are marquee artists including Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts, The Band Perry, Dwight Yoakam, Jason Isbell, Old Crow Medicine Show, Sara Evans, Kristian Bush and Cracker.
Shaky Boots is the first major-level, multi-day country music festival in Georgia, and the absence of something similar festival is what prompted festival founder Tim Sweetwood to create the event. “I’ve always been surprised that there isn’t a large country festival in Georgia, so I’m excited to deliver what I think will be a great country festival for years to come,” Sweetwood said. Sweetwood is also founder of the popular Shaky Knees festival that will take place in Atlanta a week later.
