The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History is hosting Christmas on the Home Front on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 1pm to 5pm. The event features a living history civil war encampment on the front lawn as well as period dancing inside. Re-enactors will be drilling young recruits while Southern Belles play period games and decorate holiday cards.
The Museum will offer free admission on December 1, 2012 from 9:30am to 7pm. Items in the The General Emporium museum gift shop will be discounted 10% for the general public; museum members will receive 20% off.
