Art Hatch Spring Garden Festival

This spring, the second annual Art Hatch Spring Garden Festival is set to transform the Smith-Gilbert Gardens into a canvas of colorful expressions and interactive experiences. The event is part of Art Blooms, a season-long celebration that highlights the talents of Cobb County High Schools and Kennesaw State University’s (KSU) Master Craftsman program. This interactive experience blends art, nature, and creativity in a setting filled with larger-than-life egg installations, scavenger hunts, live music, and hands-on activities.

From 10 am to 2 pm, visitors can explore the gardens and take in vibrant new installations crafted by Cobb County High School students. Scattered throughout the grounds, specially painted wooden eggs will serve as clues in a scavenger hunt, offering an engaging challenge for participants. Beyond the hunt, guests can enjoy games, art projects, and a variety of vendors showcasing their creative works.

The artistic experience continues beyond opening day. Additional installations by Kennesaw State University’s Master Craftsman program and Fabric and Textiles department, along with performances from the Theatre department, will be on display through May 31. Town Center CID, a sponsor of the event, will extend the fun with more eggs and clues hidden in the Town Center area and in Downtown Kennesaw.
