During the American Civil War, perhaps no other soldier approached the actions of Colonel John Singleton Mosby. This daring partisan ranger led his small body of troops on several raids, capturing Federal troops, destroying supplies, and drawing the attention of thousands of Northern soldiers needed elsewhere. This course, with instructor Michael K. Shaffer, will explore the life and exploits of the leader of the 43rd Battalion Virginia Cavalry.
